The Las Marias Citricos picked up a win at El Naranjal, topping the Rio Grande Cotorras, 4-2. On the mound for Las Marias was right-hander Eusebio Ortiz. He played a principal role in the triumph. Ortiz yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 17-19. Leví Esparza picked up the save for Las Marias, his 22nd of the year.
Alejandro Martínez had a big hit for Las Marias in the bottom of the third inning. With Las Marias leading 1-0, Martínez hit a run-scoring triple. It was his 5th triple of the season and put the Citricos up, 2-0.
