Campo Atlético de Caguas played host to some dramatic action.
Caguas used a superb performance from starting pitcher Cirilo García to down the Anasco Matadioses, 1-0, in 10 innings. García, now 11-24, was the winner. In 10 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 0, and allowing no runs.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Hipólito Gutiérrez had a chance to end it. Anasco pitcher Alejandro Gutiérrez had other ideas. But with one out, Gutiérrez hit a run-scoring single. The Coquis had the win.
"Cirilo knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Caguas manager Frank Achbar.
Caguas now sits at 57-93, while Anasco falls to 78-73.
