Vejigantes Go 10 Innings to Beat Carolina, 2-1
The Loiza Vejigantes picked up a win at Coliseo Tomás Escalante, knocking off the Carolina Tumbabrazos, 2-1. Starting pitcher Francisco García played a key role in the triumph. Loiza is now 83-74, while Carolina is 84-72.

The Vejigantes nabbed the win, in part because of pinch hitter Plinio Castañeda. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.

"This game showed the grit and grind of our guys," said Castañeda.
