Utuado Arribenos starter Napoleón Pérez took the mound against the Gurabo Tainos at Parque de los Arribeños; and, when all was said and done, the right-hander led his team to an extra-inning, 5-4 win. The first-place Arribenos improved to 93-59.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 11th, an error by the Tainos allowed the Arribenos to score the winning run.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Arribenos manager Desiderio Arias, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
