Ejemplares Handle Lares, Snag 4-1 Win

Not everyone stuck through the 54-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The Dorado Ejemplares picked up a win at Coliseo Adán Romero, dropping the Lares Fieles, 4-1. Luis Fernández was the difference-maker. Fernández, now 16-12, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 1, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.
Tadeo Ruiz drove in one run for Dorado. The 27-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ramón Carrizales. It was his 74th RBI of the season.
"We take it day by day here," said Ruiz, "and today was a good one for us."
Dorado is now 83-75, while Lares is 71-87.
