Hechiceros Take Tight Tangle
The Guayama Hechiceros clipped the Cayey Cornupetas, 5-4, in 13 innings at Estadio de Guayama. The standout performance belonged to Guayama pitcher and Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, native Pedro Alcócer. Guayama, with the win, sits at 47-108.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Guayama first baseman Esteban Mendoza, facing Alberto Barron, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Hechiceros the 5-4 win.

Alcócer attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
