Alcántara goes 3-for-3, Leads Matadioses to Win

Mauro Alcántara knocked in 3 runs to help Anasco beat Aibonito, 6-4. Alcántara produced 2 singles and 1 home run. Godofredo Romero got the win, improving to 4-8. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 3.

With Anasco leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Alcántara came up to bat against Aibonito pitcher Basilio Alvarado. Alcántara hit a changeup to left for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Matadioses on top, 4-1.

"The tide will turn," said losing manager Rafael Gutiérrez. "We just need to keep our chins up."
