Termales Make It 4 Straight with 3-2 Win

Despite the rain, the fans at Estadio Graciano Figueroa enjoyed a good ballgame.
The Coamo Termales picked up a win at Estadio Graciano Figueroa, topping the Aguadilla Colmillos, 3-2. On the mound for Coamo was right-hander Menandro Negrete. He played a principal role in the triumph. Negrete yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 6-8.
Sandalio Díaz drove in one run for Coamo. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Díaz, who finished 3rd in the LH in runs with 102 in 1904, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Aguadilla hurler Esteban Flores, he grounded out, driving in 1 run to give the Termales a 3-2 lead.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Termales manager Melchor Herrera.
The second-place Colmillos now sit at 69-88.
