Starting pitcher Marc Stabb gave the Yauco Corsos a rock-solid effort. The Hamilton, Canada native helped his team defeat the Ceiba Picudos, 2-0, at Estadio Rolando Sandoval. Albán Gutiérrez got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Corsos raised their record to 74-94.

Ciriaco De La Guarda had a direct impact on the outcome. De La Guarda contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Yauco up, 1-0.

"That was a really good outing by Marc," said Yauco manager Tito Sandoval.
