The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

Cayey Cornupetas starter Ignacio González was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the San Sebastian Pepinos, 2-1. Sarpedón Rodríguez snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 3.1 innings. He's now 3-0 on the season.

The decisive blow was delivered by Astolfo Huerta in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Vicente Ruvalcaba to win the game for Cayey. The home crowd went nuts.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Cayey manager Jesús Ruiz.

The 75-81 Cornupetas lead the Liga Hostos Valle Costero by one game.
