Cidra pitcher Aníbal Mojica did his part in helping his team beat the Patillas Cuervos, 3-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Cidra is now 80-79.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Fionntán Johnson was at the plate when Cidra scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Palomas to go in front, 3-2.

"You can never predict what'll happen," Johnson said. "That's why you play the game."
