Arecibo got a terrific performance from pitcher Samuel Andrade, but it wasn't enough to beat the Aguada Arzobispos. Aguada won the Estadio Municipal de Aguada contest, 6-4. Andrade threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball for the losing team. The win went to José Muñoz in relief, making him now 2-1. Samuel Andrade took the loss for Arecibo. The triumph puts Aguada at 80-80 for the season.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Rómulo Quiñones came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Arecibo pitcher Samuel Andrade, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Aguada on top, 6-4.

Aguada manager Ronald Luke was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
