Las Marias registered a win at El Naranjal by beating the Arecibo Lobos, 9-5. Pitcher Premislao Tijerina was one reason why the Citricos triumphed. Tijerina got the win, improving to 9-6. He gave up 11 hits and walked 1 over 8.2 innings. He allowed 5 runs. With the win, Las Marias goes to 89-75, while the Lobos fall to 52-111.
With no one out in the top of the sixth, Shalvey Foley had a chance to do some damage. Arecibo was trailing 9-2, but had the bases loaded. Foley came to the plate against Premislao Tijerina, and hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough to complete a Arecibo comeback.
