Delgado Excels in 5-3 Fajardo Win
The Fajardo Insolentes picked up a win, 5-3, over the Carolina Tumbabrazos at Estadio Ricardo García. Casiodoro Delgado led the charge. The Vega Alta, Arecibo native went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Fajardo. Rory Beveridge picked up the win, improving his season record to 17-10. He struck out 2 in 8.1 innings. Abilio Rivera, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 26th save.

Delgado had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-2 changeup from Lennon Robertson, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Insolentes a 5-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Delgado.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Delgado.

Fajardo is in first place in the Liga Hostos Archipiélago with a record of 97-66.
