The Patillas Cuervos topped the Catano Guardacostas, 3-2, in Liga Betances action at Campo Atletico de San Benito. The game was highlighted by the performance of Patillas pitcher Pablo García. With the win, Patillas raised its record to 92-71.

Patillas took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Buenaventura Urrutia hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Cuervos in front, 3-2.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Aureliano Espinosa.
