Marcianos Lose Late to Colmillos
|
Aguadilla and Lajas got after it at Plaza Cósmica de Lajas.
The Lajas Marcianos got a sterling performance from pitcher Jesús Castellón, but the Aguadilla Colmillos still prevailed, 4-1. Castellón threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Aguadilla is second in the Liga Betances Noroeste with a record of 82-82.
Aguadilla used a timely hit from José Martínez to get the win. The pinch hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Colmillos on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
Martínez said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
