Despite the rain, the fans at Estadio de San Lorenzo enjoyed a good ballgame.

San Lorenzo pitcher Facundo Ramos did his part in helping his team defeat the Villalba Mercaderes, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Ramos yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 12-26.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Pedro Serna came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Villalba pitcher Roberto León, he hit a 2-2 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting San Lorenzo on top, 2-1.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Leyendas manager Rafael Ortiz. "This one was nice to get."

The Leyendas are now 67-101, while the Mercaderes fall to 70-98.
