Matadioses Get Past Manati for 2-1 Win
|
The Manati Acropolitanos got a superb performance from pitcher Orestes Solano. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Anasco. The Matadioses won the game, 2-1. Solano threw 8.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Alejandro Gutiérrez, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-2. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 11 hits and 1 run, while striking out 0 and walking 1. The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Anasco pinch hitter Aureliano Dávila, facing Orestes Solano, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Matadioses the 2-1 win.
