The Coamo Termales manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Yauco Corsos. The Termales were overpowered by Yauco starter Santiago Ayala, who hurled his club to victory, 1-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Juan López said.

Over 9 innings, Ayala blanked Coamo on 1 hit with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Ayala said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

To date, Ayala has a 11-24 mark in 42 starts with a 3.29 ERA. He has given up 271 hits in 295.1 innings, struck out 163 and issued 185 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .252 batting average against him.
