Quesiteros Fall to Corsarios, 5-1
|
The Quebradillas Corsarios picked up a win at La Guarida, knocking off the Isabela Quesiteros, 5-1. Starting pitcher Adrián Bobadilla was a big reason why. Bobadilla got the win, improving to 7-14. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. The save went to Primitivo Flores, his 22nd this season.
Quebradillas took a 3-1 lead on Silvio Trujillo's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Trujillo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Isabela pitcher Martín Magallanes visibly frustrated.
In postgame comments to the Quebradillas Bulletin, Trujillo said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The third-place Corsarios now have a record of 64-104.
