The Utuado Arribenos picked up a win at Estadio de Florida, topping the Florida Mogotes, 4-1. On the mound for Utuado was right-hander Nehemías Ruiz. He played a principal role in the triumph. Ruiz yielded 1 run over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 9-4. Miguel García notched his 22nd save in 28 chances.
It could have been a different outcome for Utuado, had it not been for Storm Peck, the 26-year old first baseman . Peck contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Utuado up, 1-0.
"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Utuado skipper Desiderio Arias.
The win gives Utuado a season record of 100-64.
