Pescadores Move on to Serie Eliminatoria
In an exciting Serie Preliminar that had its fair share of drama and intrigue, perhaps it is Liga Nacional Puertorriquena fans who have come out the winner.

But on the field, the winners were the Salinas Pescadores, who edged the Rio Grande Cotorras 3-2 to advance to the Serie Eliminatoria.

Salinas won the final game by a 6-5 count to wrap up the series. Martín Padilla earned series MVP honors, by hitting .538 with a .625 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 1 runs.

The Salinas Pescadores will play against the Vega Baja Caneros in the next round. Vega Baja won their series against the San Juan Metropolitanos 3 games to 0. The Serie Eliminatoria schedule will be announced after the Serie Preliminar finishes.
