Cafeteros Beat Romeros, 5-1
|
It might have been a rain-shorted game, but the hometown crowd didn't seem to mind.
Maricao used a superb performance from starting pitcher Adán Martínez to down the Hormigueros Romeros, 5-1. The Cafeteros saw their record improve to 94-74.
One key moment occurred in the top of the fourth with two down. With the bases loaded and the Romeros trailing 5-1, pitcher Gabriel Sertuche grounded out. It was a big out for Martínez and the Cafeteros.
