Medina, Mofongueros Take Dramatic Game 2 for 2-0 Series Lead
The Corozal Mofongueros went into extra innings against the Yabucoa Dulceros but ultimately moved to within one game of the Serie Eliminatoria. The Mofongueros downed the Dulceros in a 10-inning walk-off at Coliseo Paulino Soto by a final score of 8-7. Corozal right-hander Samuel Medina had a commendable performance. He threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The win gives the Mofongueros a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Serie Preliminar.

The decisive blow was delivered by Roberto Mejorada in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off two-time All-Star Fintan Williams to win the game for Corozal. The home crowd went nuts.

"Samuel pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Corozal manager José Jiménez.

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Estadio Teodosio Martínez in Yabucoa.
