Closing In: Aguada Nears CLL With Dramatic Game 5 Win
The Aguada Arzobispos needed some last-minute heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the Campeonato de Las Ligas. The Arzobispos got the 2-1 win against the Naguabo Navegadores in a walk-off at Estadio Municipal de Aguada. Aguada left-hander Roan Smith had a solid outing. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Arzobispos a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Serie Interdivisional.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 27-year old third baseman Manuel Lantigua had a chance to be the hero. Naguabo pitcher Pelayo Fernández had other ideas. But with one out, Lantigua hit a sacrifice fly. The Arzobispos had themselves a dramatic win.

Lantigua told a Aguada Times reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, November 14th , 1915 at La Timonera in Naguabo.
