Santa Isabel Corceles second baseman Peleo Lara had a day to remember at Coliseo Joaquín Marín, ripping apart the Aguadilla Colmillos and sparking the 12-2 Corceles win.

Lara wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Lara told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."

Peleo Lara doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
