Though he had a stellar game, Huáscar Tanguma could not prevent his team, the Bayamon Lecheros, from losing, 7-6, to the Jayuya Cerros. Tanguma went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Quinto Montoya earned the win for Jayuya. He lasted 8.1 innings, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 0. With the win, he raised his record to 2-3. Fernando Serafín was credited with the save for Jayuya, his 3rd of the season.

The Cerros got a big hit from center fielder Guy Veronese. Facing Bayamon pitcher Chae-ho Lee in the bottom of the eighth, Veronese pounded a 2-run double to right. His 6th double of the season put the Cerros ahead, 7-2.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Veronese, "and then get after the next one."

The win takes Jayuya to 16-17.
