The San German Golondrinas defeated the Barceloneta Marineros, 3-1, in Liga Hostos action at Recinto Municipal Lola Rodríguez de Tió. San German pitcher Fulgencio García had a standout performance. The win gives San German a record of 23-10.

The Golondrinas took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. San German was leading 2-1 when Carlos Colón hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Golondrinas in front, 3-1.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," Colón said.
