Robinson, Capitanes Force Game 5 in 17-Inning Marathon
The Mayaguez Capitanes went the distance and then some at Coliseo Atlético del Oeste to drag themselves back into a tie with the Corozal Mofongueros.

It took 17 innings to settle Game 4 of the Serie Eliminatoria, but Mayaguez eventually took a walk-off, 2-1 win behind the efforts of pitcher Ronit Robinson. Robinson threw 11.0 innings of 8-hit ball to aid the Mayaguez cause. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in their best-of-5 series.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 17th, an error by the Mofongueros allowed the Capitanes to score the winning run.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Robinson.

Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday at Coliseo Paulino Soto in Corozal.
