Martilleros Win with Late Rally
The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.

The Vega Alta Martilleros did just enough to secure a victory over the Ciales Galanes, 3-2, in 10 innings at Coliseo Emeterio García. Nobody did more than pitcher Balbino Fernández. Ananías Jiménez picked up the win in relief for Vega Alta, while Jaime Sánchez took the loss.

The Martilleros got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Ramón Jiménez. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Martilleros.

Fernández told the Vega Alta Citizen: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."

The Martilleros sport a record of 12-22.
