Trujillo Alto and Las Piedras got after it at Estadio Cordelia Pérez de Verdugo.
The Trujillo Alto Macabeos earned a close win over the Las Piedras Menestrales, thanks in part to Bernal Ramos. The Trujillo Alto right-hander played a key role in the 3-1 victory. The Macabeos now own a record of 36-79.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Macabeos had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fifth, when second baseman Miguel Ramos hit a 2-run single. The single came off Sebastián Suárez and made the score 3-0, Macabeos. Ramos went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs.
"It was a good effort all around," said Ramos.
