The game between Cidra and Luquillo is in the books, despite a little rain.

Starting pitcher Gerardo Rodríguez fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Cidra Palomas stymie the Luquillo Soles, 8-2. Cidra goes to 16-21, Luquillo to 16-20.

The Palomas got an important contribution from center fielder Hércules Guerrero, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a first pitch sinker to right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Palomas ahead, 4-1.

"We have a lot of confidence in Gerardo," said Cidra manager Wilson Álvarez.
