Insolentes Defeat Menestrales in 12

The Fajardo Insolentes got a stellar effort from pitcher Diego Sánchez, helping Fajardo score a win over the visiting Las Piedras Menestrales, 3-2, in 12 innings. Abilio Rivera, 3-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Their 24-16 record puts the Insolentes first in the Liga Hostos Archipiélago.
The Insolentes got a clutch hit from designated hitter Casiodoro Delgado. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Insolentes.
"We saved our best for last," said Delgado.
