Lightermen Get 4th Straight Win with Late Rally
|
Burlington got an elite performance from starting pitcher Cristino Rangel in securing a 3-1 decision over the Brattleboro Melodeons. Rangel picked up the win for Burlington, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. The loss drops the Melodeons to 15-6.
Raúl Téllez had a direct impact on the outcome. Téllez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Burlington up, 2-1.
"Every loss stings," said Brattleboro manager Larry Manley. "This one is no exception."
