The Manchester Gamblers picked up a win at The Patch, topping the Derry Spuds, 6-3. On the mound for Manchester was right-hander Hipólito Galván. He played a principal role in the triumph. Manchester is now 48-83. Derry is 77-54.

Sotero Rivera helped the cause in the top of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. His at-bat contributed to the Manchester win.

"Nervous? No," said Galván. "It was my time to shine."
