Guabaleros Earn Clutch Win, 3-2
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Comerio Guabaleros eventually prevailed.
The Comerio Guabaleros earned a win at Coliseo Carlos Chávez, stopping the Salinas Pescadores, 3-2. Starting pitcher Gastón Esparza played a big role in his team's success. Comerio has now won 4 games in a row.
Comerio used the timely hitting of Ananías Pérez to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Guabaleros on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Gastón is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Comerio manager Glauco Fernández.
