The Toa Baja Jinetes powered past the Trujillo Alto Macabeos, 9-4, at Estadio Cordelia Pérez de Verdugo. Deasún McCarthy went 2 for 4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2, to lead the charge. With the win over Trujillo Alto, the Jinetes improved to 25-20.

The Jinetes got a gift in the top of the first inning, when they were leading 1-0. With two out and the bases loaded, Balduino Maldonado reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. It made the score 2-0, Toa Baja.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Toa Baja manager Antonio Zambrano.
