Moca beat Maricao in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The Moca Rebeldes wiggled past the Maricao Cafeteros, 6-5, in 11 innings at Parque de los Cafeteros. The win was highlighted by the performance of Moca pitcher Samuel Martínez. Moca is now 18-28, Maricao 32-16.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 11th inning. With two out, Camulógeno Loa hit a 1-2 fastball from Ángel Leal for a run-scoring single. It put Moca in front, 6-5.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Cresencio Palma.
