Arecibo Topples Catano, 3-2

The Arecibo Lobos topped the Catano Guardacostas, 3-2, in Liga Betances action at Estadio Municipal de Arecibo. The standout performance belonged to Arecibo pitcher and Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, native Lisandro Acevedo. Raúl Ibarra closed the game out for Arecibo, earning his 8th save. With the win, Arecibo has a record of 17-33. Catano falls to 23-27.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Lobos had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when left fielder Anatolio Carrasco hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Amadeo Ramos and made the score 1-0, Lobos.
