Soles Heading to Serie Eliminatoria
|
By a score of 5-4, the Luquillo Soles have sealed a victory in the Serie Preliminar over the Maricao Cafeteros.
"We knew we would be in for a tough series and that's what we got," said third baseman Troilo Hernández of the Soles, who was named the series MVP. "The Cafeteros knew how to battle and gave us a good test."
The next test for Luquillo will come in the Serie Eliminatoria, after winning this series 3-1.
The Luquillo Soles don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Morovis Sanisalvos - Hatillo Canarios series. Morovis leads the series 2 games to 1. The Serie Eliminatoria schedule will be announced after the Serie Preliminar finishes.
