Rio Grande Wins Again, 3-2
When the games really matter, the Rio Grande Cotorras put on their best show, beating the Guaynabo Libertadores by a final score of 3-2. Tony Renny threw 9.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Rio Grande now leads Guaynabo 2-0 in the best-of-5 affair.

When he batted in the bottom of the tenth, Gideon Morris had a golden opportunity to change the game's outcome. Guaynabo pitcher Evaristo Rodríguez was determined not to let him. But with two outs, Morris hit a run-scoring single -- and the Cotorras had a suspense-filled triumph.

Morris told a Rio Grande Bulletin reporter that he felt "elated" after the win.

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, October 22nd , 1914 at Coliseo Jesús Carreón in Guaynabo.
