Amigos Win Serie Preliminar
The Guanica Amigos are riding high after knocking off the Mayaguez Capitanes in the Serie Preliminar.

"We're feeling confident now and that's half the battle," said Apolodoro García, who was named series MVP. "You play confidently, you play well and it shows up with results like this."

Guanica won the final game by a 12-6 count at Estadio Gilberto Martínez and the series 3-1.

For the series, García hit .429 with a .471 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.

The Guanica Amigos don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Rincon Ingenieros - Isabela Quesiteros series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Serie Eliminatoria schedule will be announced after the Serie Preliminar finishes.
