Aguas Buenas Hands Patillas 6-2 Loss
|
Patillas had trouble with Aguas Buenas starter Manuel Cortés, who frustrated Cuervos hitters, as the Mulos cruised to victory, 6-2, in Game 2 of the Serie Interdivisional. The Mulos now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series, thanks in large part to the right-handed Cortés, who controlled Patillas throughout the contest and threw 8.2 innings of 4-hit ball.
Cortés allowed 2 runs on 4 hits over 8.2 innings for the Mulos. He walked 3 and struck out 7.
"You could tell Manuel had an idea about where the ball was going and what he was trying to do," said Aguas Buenas manager Brad Johannson.
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, November 7th , 1914 at Campo Atletico de San Benito in Patillas.
