Cornupetas Earn Late Win
The Cayey Cornupetas electrified the home crowd with a walk-off win.

Gurabo got a valiant performance from pitcher Gaspar García, but it wasn't enough to beat the Cayey Cornupetas. Cayey won the game, 2-1. García threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Cayey reliever Manuel Gálvez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Nuño González was saddled with the loss.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Abel Argueta in the bottom of the 11th. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 39-year old left-handed pitcher Nuño González to win it for Cayey and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

Argueta told a Cayey Herald reporter he was "pleased as punch" with the win.

Cayey bumps their record to 29-23 with the win.
