Caracas shortstop Natanael Rodríguez made his presence felt in the 10-8 Sultanes triumph over the Puerto La Cruz Timoneles. Rodríguez was 3-3 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3. Víctor Hugo García got the save, the 2nd for him this season.

Caracas used a well-timed hit by Emanuel Cortez to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Sultanes ahead, 7-5. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Rodríguez.
