Ramón Lenz kept the Nueva Esparta Cunaguaros hitters from doing much damage at Estadio de Nueva Esparta.

Nueva Esparta could only muster 11 hits and draw 2 walks against the right-handed Lenz, who controlled them throughout the game. Cumana won the contest, 1-0. Lenz added 1 strikeout in his complete-game effort.

"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Lenz told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
