Late Rally Earns Ceiba 5-3 Win
Ceiba and Lajas duked it out and the Picudos came out victorious.

The Ceiba Picudos defeated the Lajas Marcianos, 5-3, in 13 innings. Much of the credit belonged to catcher Martin Reynolds, who went 4-6 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Picudos. Ceiba reliever Antenor Kino picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Hestio Apodaca was saddled with the loss.

Had Reynolds not come through in the top of the 13th, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Reynolds hit a 2-run double. The Picudos took the lead, 5-3, and never looked back.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said Ceiba skipper Adam Wilson. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."

After today's action, Ceiba sits at 23-36; Lajas slips to 19-39.
