El Naranjal was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Las Marias Citricos and Guaynabo Libertadores.

Guaynabo got a big-time effort from pitcher Julio Morales, but it wasn't enough to keep the Las Marias Citricos from winning the game, 5-4. Morales threw 8.1 innings allowing 4 runs for the losing team. The winner in relief was Leví Esparza. He is now 3-5. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 4.1 innings.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 14th for Las Marias. That's when 26-year old first baseman Diego Cisneros hit a run-scoring double off Jorge González to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"No one can call baseball boring," said Citricos manager Pedro Aquino. "Not after a game like that."

The win gives Las Marias a season record of 36-23.
