Orphans Clip Phillies, 3-2, in R1 Contest
|
Addie Joss went the distance at West Side Grounds 1894-1915 to drag the Chicago Orphans back to parity with the Philadelphia Phillies. The right-handed Joss needed 127 pitches to get through the complete game effort, which the Orphans won, 3-2. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.
Chicago starter Addie Joss was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits over 9 innings.
"Addie's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Josh Fisher, the Orphans manager.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at West Side Grounds 1894-1915 in Chicago.
