Balloon, Navegadores Take Dramatic Game 2 for 2-0 Series Lead
The Naguabo Navegadores went into extra innings against the Arroyo Telegrafistas but ultimately moved to within one game of the Serie Eliminatoria. The Navegadores downed the Telegrafistas in a 10-inning walk-off at La Timonera by a final score of 4-3. Naguabo right-hander Ted Balloon had a commendable performance. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs. The win gives the Navegadores a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Serie Preliminar.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, slick-fielding third baseman Wally Balk had a real shot to win the game. Arroyo pitcher Alberto Benítez was determined not to let it happen. But with no outs, Balk hit a run-scoring single. The Navegadores had a walk-off triumph.

"Winning is contagious," said Balk. "We're looking forward to the next game."

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, October 20th , 1908 at Estadio Municipal de Arroyo in Arroyo.
