Aguas Buenas Wins Serie Preliminar
|
The Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño hopes remain strong for the Aguas Buenas Mulos.
The team tonight eliminated the Arecibo Lobos with a 2-0 win, to capture the Serie Preliminar 3-1.
"We're rolling now," said Ernesto Guerrero, who was named series MVP. "The pitchers are pitching, hitters are hitting, look out. I expect us to pick our game up to another level in the Serie Eliminatoria."
The standout offensive performance from Guerrero included a .467 batting average, .500 on-base percentage, 0 home runs, 5 RBI and 3 runs scored.
The Aguas Buenas Mulos don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Lajas Marcianos - Maricao Cafeteros series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Serie Eliminatoria schedule will be announced after the Serie Preliminar finishes.
